Ten defendants appearing for central court at the courthouse in Jim Thorpe last week waived their preliminary hearings before a district judge and entered guilty pleas before a county judge.

Melissa Ann Tessitore, 39, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of bad checks, as a summary offense. She was charged by Jim Thorpe police for an incident on Oct. 25, 2016, where she gave a bad check at the office of District Judge Eric Schrantz.A fine of $150 and restitution of $20 was ordered.Amy E. Kichline, 31, of Albrightsville, pleaded to one count of driving under the influence. She was arrested by Kidder Township police on Sept. 2, 2016. No BAC was available.Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Thomas Michael Ferguson, 63, of Scranton pleaded to one count of DUI. He was arrested on Nov. 17, 2016, at Beltzville State Park in Franklin Township by park rangers. A test revealed a 0.12 BAC.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service.Theresa A. O'Donnell, 45, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of DUI. She was arrested on Oct. 4, 2016, in East Penn Township by state police at Lehighton. No BAC was available.Sentencing was deferred so she can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Andrew Lee Moll, 25, of Jim Thorpe pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Sept. 5, 2016, by Jim Thorpe police in the area of 226 Fern St.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 25 hours of community service.Anthony Allen Stoeckel, 30, of Jim Thorpe, pleaded to one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and summary offense of driving while under suspension. He was arrested on Nov. 4, 2016, by Jim Thorpe police.Sentencing was deferred because he has another case pending.Willis E. Negron, 35, of Lehighton, pleaded in two pending cases. He pleaded to one count of violation of rules on commonwealth property for an incident on Aug. 28, 2016, at Beltzville State Park filed by park rangers. He also pleaded to counts of recklessly endangering another person and defiant trespass for an incident on Nov. 1, 2016, at Broad and Dean streets filed by Beaver Meadows police.On the second count he was sentenced to time served (46 days) and ordered to make restitution of $1,575 to the borough on the reckless count and one year probation on the trespass charge, concurrent. On the first incident he was fined $100.Clinton Thomas Fought, 28, of Williamsport, pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on Nov. 26, 2016, by state police at Fern Ridge following a vehicle stop along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to render 25 hours of community service.Daniel Jacob Snyder, 31, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy-retail theft and prohibited offensive weapon. He was arrested on Dec. 18, 2016, by Mahoning Township police at the Walmart store. He was found to have a handgun.On the weapons count he was sentenced to serve 30 days to one year in prison, get both drug and alcohol and mental health evaluations, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, and render 50 hours of community service. He was given credit for 25 days spent in prison on the charge. On the drug count he was placed on probation for a year, consecutive to the weapons charge, and on conspiracy charge he was fined $100. He must also make $29.88 restitution to Walmart.Nancy Green, 49, of Lehighton, pleaded to one count of bad check. She was charged by Mahoning Township police for an incident on June 4, 2016.She was placed on probation for a year and ordered to make restitution of $1,470, render 50 hours of community service and have no contact withthe victim.Each defendant sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
