Class of 1964 tours, luncheon

Members of the 1964 graduating class of Jim Thorpe Area High School will meet on Wednesday. The day will begin with a tour of the now present Jim Thorpe Administration Building, formerly the junior high, on Center Avenue. The group is to meet at 9 a.m. and the tour will be conducted by class President Jeff James.The group will then travel to the old Carbon County Jail on West Broadway. There will be an admission fee.Following that tour, the group will tour the Asa Packer Mansion, approximately at 1 p.m. There is an admission fee also.Ellie Barno Evans will provide hoagies for lunch and those attending should bring their own beverages.
