Pennsylvania State Police, Troop N Major Case team and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the death of 4-year-old Bently Thomas Koch of Chestnuthill Township.
State police from Fern Ridge were called to the Ash Lane home shortly after 11 a.m. when family members discovered the child unresponsive.The preliminary investigation shows that the child died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.He was taken to Pocono Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing.
