Charges are pending against a Schuylkill County driver following a crash that occurred about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the area of 925 Pottsville St., in Mechanicsville, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Richard Neade, 47, of Saint Clair, was driving a 2010 Subaru Impreza eastbound when he fell asleep at the wheel. The passenger side of the Impreza impacted the driver's side rear of a parked 1990 Subaru Loyale.Upon impact the Impreza rolled over onto its roof and came to rest on its roof facing north. After impact the Loyale front end impacted with a wall/fence owned by David Ebert, of 923 Pottsville St.Neade was not injured. Troopers said the investigation into the crash is continuing.
