Gary D. Marchalk, husband of Schuylkill County treasurer Linda Marchalk, was pronounced dead at the couple's Barnesville home shortly after 12 p.m. Monday.

Schuylkill County Coroner Dr. David J. Moylan said Marchalk's death is suspicious.

An autopsy is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Wednesday by Forensic Pathology Associates at Lehigh Valley Health Network. Salisbury Township.

Marchalk, an attorney, was pronounced dead at 12:04 p.m. by Deputy Coroner David Truskowsky.

State Police at Frackville are investigating the death.

They had yet to release information as of Monday afternoon.
