Schuylkill County filed an action in the county court seeking to close adult entertainment at the Strip Mine Cabaret in Washington Township, alleging a violation of the county zoning ordinance.

The cabaret is owned by Dutchmen Mt. Park, LLC, and is located at 670 Rock Road. It is alleged since it opened on May 16 it has been operating an adult business and providing live adult entertainment to its patrons.The suit alleges the district in which the cabaret is located is under the county's zoning ordinance as the township does not have a zoning ordinance. The area is zoned A (Agriculture) District and that live adult entertainment is not permitted in such a district.The suit states the county zoning ordinance in a district zoned C-4 (Regional Highway Commercial) District, there is allowed a wide range of commercial uses and selected industrial uses near highway interchanges. It states adult uses area are allowed in such a district, including adult book stores, adult movie theaters, massage parlors or adult live entertainment.The suit states the cabaret features live performance by nude or partially nude dancers while offering alcoholic beverages to its patrons and also a certain permitted conduct of female employees for the benefit or entertainment of its patrons.The county seeks an injunction to close the entertainment because of ordinance violation.
