Pocono Old Tyme is holding its 22nd annual show, featuring garden tractors, gas engines and belted equipment, July 7 through July 9 at the West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert.See antique tractors on parade, watch gas engines in action; see threshing demonstrations, feed grinding, corn shelling and more.Kids can enjoy pedal tractor pulls and watch big guys pull with their tractors.Food, entertainment and a chance to win a raffle will also be available.VBS announcedSt. Peter's UMC will hold its Vacation Bible School from July 17-21. Class will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day.The theme is Maker Fun Factory - Created by God, Built for a Purpose.All children ages 5 to 12 are invited to join. p.m.July 17, at the Effort United Methodist Church on Merwinsburg Road in Effort.Several of the club members will be presenting a take on the "Antiques Roadshow" as they display and talk about some of the antiques they have in their collections.The Western Pocono Women's Club meets at 7 p.m. the third Monday of each month, March through December, at Effort United Methodist Church on Merwinsburg Road in Effort. p.m.July 27.This event puts teams of four women in a nail hammering competition to help the group continue to work toward its vision of everyone in Monroe County having a safe, decent place to live.
