MCT announces 2011 Anna Marie Helbing Trust scholarship grants
Thirty-four local residents have been honored by Mauch Chunk Trust Company as recipients of Anna Marie Helbing Trust scholarship grants towards their pursuit of a nursing degree.
The award recipients, selected by an independent committee, were recognized at a small reception held in their honor at the North Street branch location in Jim Thorpe.The 2011 Anna Marie Helbing Trust award recipients are: Amanda Billig, Nicole Boe, Rebecca Boyer, Marissa Cantelmi, Angela Cook, Lillie Ann Dunn, Cara Eckhart, Morgan Ferrari, Jenelle Fronheiser, Tiffani George, Jaime Gieniec, Julie Gower, Kaitlin Hahn, Kristen Halenar, Courtney Hertzog, Ashley Italiano, Ashley Jennings, Dawn Kilgore, Alyssa Knappenberger, Amy Kratz, Debra Lobien, Jessica Lobien, Rachel Marouchoc, Annie Mertz, Alexandrea Mosteller, Tammy Neff, Ginger Outlaw, RaeAnn Rehrig, Kevin Seemiller, Lisa Sittler, Jessica Sparacio, Crystal Sparrow, Stephanie Stidham, and Mellisa Strohl.This is the 20th consecutive year that Mauch Chunk Trust Company has administered scholarship grants from the generous bequest of Anna Marie Helbing.Ms. Helbing was a lifelong resident of Jim Thorpe and enjoyed a nursing career in New York.According to Mauch Chunk Trust Company Wealth Management Division Manager, Lee Zink, "These students are moving into a profession of care which provides a valuable service to the community; we wish them great success in their studies."Established in 1902, Mauch Chunk Trust Company is an independent community bank that is locally owned and managed.The community bank operates six branch locations and one trust & investment services office in Carbon and Schuylkill Counties providing a complete range of personal and business banking products and financial services, such as investments and insurance.For more information, visit them online at
