CAROL ZICKLER/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS Because of the mssion work of 12 young people from Maryland, parts of the Panther Valley got an uplift. Painting, trimming and carpentry are just a few of the chores done by the group free of charge. Working in the Hauto area are three of the missionaries, Cooper Luetje, David Colbert, and Joe Coshun who are trimming the front of a house. They said they are also enjoying sightseeing trips to the mines, Mauch Chunk Lake, and possibly to Eckley Miners Village before they go home.
