Agents from the state Office of the Attorney General went into a home at 230 W. Bertsch St., Lansford Thursday afternoon.

The address is listed as that of George T. Engler said her office was aware of the activity, but was not involved.Lansford Police Chief Jack Soberick would say only that the Office of the Attorney General “asked us to stand by. We assisted as needed, but we have no knowledge of the investigation.”He referred questions to the attorney general.District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek’s office said no search warrant has been issued from that office for any homes in the 200 block of west Bertsch Street. Bottomley was on the job as of Thursday, said office manager Dawn M. Orsulak.
