A Tamaqua man was cited following a domestic incident in the borough on Easter Sunday.

Cpl. Henry Woods responded to a domestic call at 45 W. Broad St. at 8:21 a.m. and was informed that Eric Culpepper, 27, had allegedly assaulted the female victim following an argument. According to the victim's statement, Culpepper jumped on top of her, knocked her to the ground and choked her until blood started seeping from her nose.When Woods went to speak with Culpepper he found him in another room which reeked of marijuana. There were also two smoking pipes in plain view.Culpepper was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, simple assault, and harassment.
