August 21, 1978 Greg Hyduke and Paul Hyduke combine for all five of Palmerton's goals to gain a 5-2 victory over Lansford and even their best-of-three Carbon County Street Hockey championship series. Lansford opens a two-goal lead in the opening period but Palmerton rallies to tie the score. Paul Hyduke puts his team ahead for good with a second-period tally midway through the second period. Palmerton goalie Steve Tyahla closes the door the rest of the way to force a third game.
