The Palmerton Summer Recreation Committee has announced its summer recreation programs for children ages 6-14 (Child must have completed kindergarten) living in the Palmerton School District.
It will be held at the Coal Bowl Playground and Borough Park Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., June 20-July 29.Children need not attend every day to participate. Many, in fact, go to swim lessons first and to the recreation program afterward.In case of rain, the program is canceled, as there are no indoor facilities.Many activities are available, including football, hockey, Wiffle ball, baseball, softball, kickball, volleyball, Frisbee, basketball, tennis, soccer, arts and crafts and board games.A staff of teachers, college students and high school students will supervise under the direction of Mrs. Pam Andrews.For more information, call Andrews at 610-826-4704.
