Two local students are participating in a summer camp at Misericordia University that investigates molecular and cell biology.

Sarah Rello of Slatington and Katrina Redline of Walnutport took part in the three-day camp under the direction of Larry D. Corpus, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology at Misericordia University.The university's Career Exploration Camp is open to rising high school juniors and seniors to give them the opportunity to study biology, anatomy and physiology, and gain a better understanding of aquatic and terrestrial ecology. The camps provide the high school students with the chance to explore exciting career fields, experience residential life on a college campus and interact with faculty and current college students in each field of study. The university also offered camps in chemistry, biochemistry, communications and media, literature, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology.
