A custom trophy cabinet containing medals, photos, plaques, boots, and a helmet of a Lehighton native who devoted his life to the military, was dedicated during a program held at the Lehighton American Legion Post. The cabinet was dedicated in memory of the late Major General Bert A. David. In conjunction with the program, Lehighton Mayor Wilbur Bauchspies announced that he proclaimed today as "Major General Bert David Day" in the community. About 100 people attended the program.
