A Carbon County man entered guilty pleas on Thursday in five pending criminal cases.
Kyle Schoenberger, 24, of Lehighton, entered guilty pleas to four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of driving under suspension-DUI related, and one count of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. The arrests for the paraphernalia occurred on March 24, April 15, May 7 and Oct. 10, 2016, following traffic stops by state police at Lehighton and Mahoning Township police. The DUI occurred on the May 7 stop by state police along Bridge Street in Lehighton. One suspension count was the May 7 incident and the second on Oct. 10.Judge Steven R. Serfass accepted the pleas but deferred sentencing because Schoenberger needs a drug and alcohol evaluation for the DUI charge.Schoenberger is currently an inmate in the county prison on the charges.
