Lehighton state police are investigating a assault incident.

Police said Timothy Eckhart, 26, allegedly reached into the car of a 25-year-old male, grabbed him and began punching him in the head and face before fleeing the scene on June 22 at 9:30 p.m. at West Bowmans Road in East Penn Township.
