Penn's Peak Radio and Carbon County Friends of Animals are teaming up to host "Pet Palooza."

The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 10 at Roadie's Restaurant and Bar in Jim Thorpe."We are very thankful to those who have chosen our shelter for this event," said Kimmy Mulik, a CCFOA member.The Pet Palooza will be an all-out crazy dance party that includes free live entertainment by the Who Knows Band, as well as prizes and giveaways. There will also be animals available for adoption.People who attend are asked to bring a monetary donation or pet friendly items. All proceeds from the event benefit Carbon County Friends of Animals.Wish list items that are being collected at the event include bleach; Purina cat and dog food and puppy and kitten chow; baby rice cereal; pet nail clippers; plastic spray bottles; heavy black garbage bags; dust pans and brushes; black Sharpie markers; blue, pink and yellow index cards; non-clumping cat litter; Gerber's chicken baby food; cat and dog beds; hand soap; cleaning products; dish and laundry detergent; brooms and mops; copy paper; Post-it notepads; pens; and volunteers.
