A Tamaqua man has been cited after police discovered his unsupervised 3-year-old son running out from between parked cars on Pine Street.
Patrolman Brent Getz was on patrol at 4:45 p.m. on July 25 when he witnessed the toddler on SR309, which was being heavily traveled at the time.Neighbors identified the boy as the son of David Ems, 27, of 119 E. Broad St.When contacted by police, Ems told the officer he thought the neighbors were watching his son, as "their grandchildren were also playing outside." He was cited with endangering the welfare of a child.
