An Allentown man was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after he was stopped by state troopers.

According to the state police at Lehighton on Aug. 1, at 10:46 p.m., in the area of SR209 near Harrity Road, Franklin Township, troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 1999 Ford F-350 for a vehicle code violation.The traffic stop revealed that the driver, identified as Ervin Jonathan Fetherman, 21, was DUI of a controlled substance.He was taken into custody and charges have been filed at District Court.
