Two Saylorsburg residents were arrested for a Carbon County burglary and theft incident.

State police at Lehighton said August Harsch, 23, and Matthew Baker, 22, were charged in connection with an incident that occurred on Sept. 17, between 1 and 1:30 a.m., at the Alliance Sand operations at 415 Golf Rd., in Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township.Troopers allege the two entered the property and after filling a vehicle from the sand operations, with miscellaneous items which they took from locked offices and buildings on the property, fled in the stolen vehicle.The two were apprehended after reports of a suspicious vehicle were received by troopers matching the description of the stolen vehicle.Another listed victim was Silver Valley Drilling and Blasting.
