One person was seriously injured just after 4 p.m. Thursday in a crash along Route 895 in West Penn Township.

The driver told police he fell asleep.The vehicle drifted into the east bound lane striking a trailer being pulled by a pickup.The vehicle continued on, coming to rest in the west bound lane.The driver of the pickup reported he just bought the trailer in Georgia on Monday. The driver of the pickup and his companion were not injured in the accident.West Penn Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene shutting down the roadway. West Penn Township Police are investigating the incident.
