A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges following a crash that occurred about 4:21 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, along Main Street, in the village of Nuremberg, North Union Township.

State police at Frackville said Robert T. Engle, 22, of Zion Grove, was operating a 1991 Ford Mustang eastbound when he began to spin his vehicle's tires in a careless manner and lost control of the vehicle.The Mustang struck a 2004 Mercury Sable, which was legally parked along the shoulder of the road.Engle, who sustained a minor injury, was found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, troopers said. He was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for treatment of injuries and a blood test.Troopers said the DUI charge is pending the blood test results.
