Tyler Elo, 21, of Cumbola, was arraigned before District Justice James Ferrier, Orwigsburg, on Nov. 8 on charges of simple assault, harassment (three counts) possession of a small amount of a Schedule II controlled substance and disorderly conduct.

The charges stem from an incident at 7:20 p.m. Oct. 29 on Water Street in Cumbola, when Elo allegedly assaulted his 51-year-old mother and father at their residence. Police said the disturbance continued outside the residence, at which time a 42-year-old neighbor intervened and was also assaulted by the defendant.Police said Elo was apprehended on a warrant, arraigned and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, in lieu of $7,500 bail.
