A suspicious package found at the entrance to Redner's Warehouse Market in Trexlertown at 3:12 p.m. Nov. 8 caused anxious moments, police in Upper Macungie Township said.

Police said upon arrival at the store, they observed a Romeo Y. Julieta cigar box on top of a garbage can at the front entrance to the store. The box was secured and had a note attached to it that read "Do not open till 'X-mas."Police said the scene was secured and personnel from the township's Station 25 and 56 fire departments arrived and assisted. The Allentown Fire Department Bomb Squad responded to further examine the package.As a precaution, Redner's was evacuated as the package was being examined, police said.The package and scene were determined to be safe and the store re-opened for business. Police said the contents of the box appeared to be coal, but will be sent for further testing.
