State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on another accident on a Schuylkill County road involving a deer.

Troopers said Daniel C. Scanzoni, 69, of Mount Carmel, was operating a 2002 Toyota Celica eastbound on Helfenstein Road, in Eldred Township, about 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, when a deer entered the road in front of him.He was negotiating a right hand curve at the time, troopers said, and he swerved his car to try and avoid hitting the animal. The car went off the road and collided head-on into a tree.Scanzoni was injured but did not require immediate medical attention. The car had to be towed from the scene.
