State police at Frackville are investigating an attempted break-in at a Schuylkill County home.

Troopers said unknown criminals forced open a small wooden door which allows entry into a coal bin in the basement at the home of Tanya Davis, 76 Macomb St., New Philadelphia. However, no entry was made to the home.The incident occurred sometime between 12:30 and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23.
