A son's debts cost his mother her television set and Tamaqua police are investigating the incident as a theft.

Police were dispatched to 304 Market St. at 5:21 p.m. on Nov. 25 and spoke with the victim, who noted she was away from the home when two men came to the door and took the television set from her room.Her son, D'Artagnan Jones, 18, told her he owed the men money and they came to the house, punched him in the stomach and left with the TV. He didn't know their names or what type of vehicle they were driving, according to the statement he gave police.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at 570-668-5000.
