State police at the Fogelsville barracks were summoned to a car fire that happened at 1:14 p.m. Dec. 14 on Old Route 22 in Weisenberg Township.

Police said a 27-year-old Allentown man who was driving the vehicle was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for a precautionary evaluation after the incident.Police said he was driving east on Old Route 22 when the vehicle caught fire while in motion. The man pulled off the right side of the road and exited the vehicle.The Cetronia EMS and Weisenberg Fire Department responded. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
