Tamaqua Area School District has re-upped its business manager for another five years.
Also on Tuesday, the board approved a new five-year contract for the district's Chief Operating Officer.Both votes passed on an 8-0 margin, with Director Aaron Frantz absent.The contracts for both Business Manager Connie Ligenza, as well as Chief Operating Officer Ken Dunkelberger, run from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2022.After the meeting, Ligenza said items addressed are responsibilities, job description, salary and future salary increases, such as the cost of living adjustment, plus either a 2 or 3 percent increase based on evaluation score, fringe benefits, evaluation procedure and termination.Ligenza has been business manager in the district since 1998.Dunkelberger has been with the district since 1996, and assumed the position of chief operating officer in the 2013-14 school year.
