A 40-year-old Tobyhanna man was sitting at his dining room table at about 15 minutes after midnight Thursday, cell phone in hand, when suddenly, someone burst through his unlocked kitchen door, knocked him off his chair and began punching and trying to stab him, police said.
The intruder punched the man in the face, and then broke off the blade of a knife he was holding, and used it to try to stab the man. A second intruder locked himself in a second-floor bedroom. He had already jumped out a window before police could get into the room, according to a report from Officer Jeffrey Lutz of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department.The invasion happened at 9694 Stoney Hollow Circle in the Pocono Country Place development.The victim had minor injuries to his hands and face, police said.
