Two vehicles were damaged in a crash that happened at 3:48 p.m. Dec. 8 on snow-covered Route 309 in Lynn Township, just south of Route 143, state police at the Fogelsville barracks said.

Police said Chelsea K. Jones, 23, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2006 Saturn Vue southbound on Route 309 and was traveling too fast on the ice and snow-covered roadway when she lost control of the vehicle. Police said it crossed the double yellow center dividing line and entered the northbound lane, where it collided with a 2005 Ford Escort that was being driven by Daniel L. Moyer, 31, of Andreas.Police said neither driver was hurt in the crash.Jones will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
