Christine Altemose, 47, Jim Thorpe, was charged by state police at the Lehighton barracks with theft of services after she failed to pay for a taxi ride.

The victim is Carbon Taxi.Police said the incident happened at 4:18 p.m. Dec. 6 at 38 Holly Berry Lane, Sunrise Ridge Development, Penn Forest Township, when the woman left the taxi without paying a fare of $48.20.
