A person wanted by authorities in New York was apprehended recently in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 11:23 p.m. on Jan. 1 officers on patrol observed two males walking along Route 940 in Tobyhanna Township. Upon checking on the males one was identified as Vincent Sanabria, of Mount Pocono.Police knew of a warrant for his arrest out of New York and took him into custody without incident. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending extradition back to New York.
