A traffic stop in McAdoo by borough police on Dec. 22 resulted in charges being filed against Carl Upshaw, of 135 Bayview Ave., McAdoo.
Upshaw was driving a blue Jeep Wrangler on Sherman Street when he came to the attention of Patrolman William Curilla. After turning on to South Cleveland Street without using a turn signal the Jeep was driven up and over a snow bank before it was parked.Curilla spoke with Upshaw, who exhibited several signs of intoxication. When asked about drinking alcohol, the driver admitted having three beers.He was given and failed field sobriety tests, then cited for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.
