Reorganization: West Penn

West Penn Township’s board of supervisors opted to retain its chairman, but elected to make a change to its vice chairman post.

Board of supervisors Chairman Jim Dean was reappointed to his post by a unanimous measure at the board’s reorganization meeting on Tuesday.However, the board on a 2-0 vote, with one abstention, appointed Supervisor Tony Prudenti as board vice chairman.Supervisor Ted Bogosh, who had previously held that position, abstained from the vote.Also as part of its reorganization, the board approved the following:• Bobbijean Muffley, secretary, $29,700.• Karen Wittig, treasurer, $24,265.• Lehigh Engineering, as the township’s new engineer.• Lehigh Engineering, Uniform Construction Code Engineer.• Lehigh Engineering zoning/code enforcement officer.• Brian Johnson, chief of police, $51,522; Sgt. Jason Lorah, full-time, $22 an hour; John Kaczmarczyk, Dale Osenbach, Richton Penn, Dean Deem, Denna Krammes, Dane O’Brian, Anthony Houser, Harry Brown, part-time patrolmen, $17 an hour; new hires $16 an hour.• Dennis Fritzinger Jr., fire chief, Rick Mertz and Jeff Bradford, assistant fire chiefs.• Singleton Harvey, roadmaster, $21 an hour; James Balliet, full-time driver/laborer, $18.91 an hour; Fritzinger, full-time driver/laborer, $18.91 an hour; Joanne Kunkel, seasonal road worker/plow driver, $16 an hour; Jeff Bradford, seasonal road worker/plow driver, $15 an hour; Clint Schock, seasonal road worker/plow driver, $15 an hour.• Jeremy Frable, road crew leader, $20.75 an hour.• Holly Heintzelman, solicitor, $100 per hour, no retainer fee.• Robert S. Frycklund, of The Law Offices of Velitsky & Frycklund, zoning hearing board attorney, $95 an hour.• Bogosh and Johnson, floodplain administrators.• William Brior/Bruce Dobash, Sewage Enforcement Officer, Bill Anders, alternate Sewage Enforcement Officer,• Harvey, vacancy board chairman.• Fritzinger, emergency management coordinator.• Kevin Mengel, assistant emergency management coordinator.• Kunkle, cleaning person, $10.30 an hour.• Berkheimer Associates Inc., earned income tax, occupational privilege tax, and delinquent tax collector.• Delroy Haas, Bill Varano, and Bogosh, property maintenance appeals board.• Roseanne Georgiades, Bob Miller, Dean Meiser, David Morgan, and David Fredericks, planning commission.• James Akins, Ronald Calarco, David Imschweiler, zoning hearing board, with James Tierney and Troy Shellhammer serving as alternates.• Marlin Zehner, Dennis Kabana, Blane Seip, Scot Dietrich, Darryl Fritz, Bruce Zehner, Robert Neumoyer, Paul Barth, and Bill Tuckett, park commission.• Lettich & Zipay, Certified Public Accountants, to audit the township accounts for 2016.• Dean is in charge of the road crew; Bogosh, the police department; and Prudenti, office personnel.• Muffley will serve as open records officer.• Appointed Lettich & Zipay, Certified Public Accountants, to audit township accounts for 2016The board will continue to meet at 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month, and plans to hold a second meeting each month, though the exact date for that meeting is undetermined.
