A student at the Schuylkill Intermediate School at 17 Maple Ave., in Norwegian Township, has been cited for having alcohol at the school.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said an 11-year-old male from Minersville was found to have beer in a water bottle while at the school. The incident occurred about 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27.The male was cited for purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages.
