Two Schuylkill County businesses have been cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

Jack's Spot Inc., located at the intersection of Route 125 and Franklin Square Road in Pitman, Eldred Township, and Hegins Inn Inc., 673 E. Main St., Hegins Township, were both cited for sold, furnished, and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to an 18-year-old. The incidents occurred on Dec. 4, 2013.These charges will be brought before an administration law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or renovation based on the severity of the charge.
