Joseph Bonacci III, 55, who reportedly has no permanent address, was arrested by Tamaqua police on Friday, Feb. 21, after he caused a disturbance at the Tamaqua Italian Club, 101 Schuylkill Ave.
According to witnesses, Bonacci refused to leave the club after he demanded a taxi, which the staff could not provide. He then began yelling and cursing. When told that police were called, he decided to take a nap.Officers arrived at 4:10 p.m. and were initially unable to wake him, and he appeared to be highly intoxicated. He was then taken to the police station where officers tried to determine where he was living. He was charged with defiant trespass and public drunkenness, then eventually turned over to a friend who lives in Tamaqua.
