Theft incidents being probed

State police at Lehighton reported an arrest in a theft at an area ski resort and also the investigation of two theft from vehicle incidents.

Troopers said a17-year-old juvenile was arrested for stealing two portable radios from the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.The teen was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Sunday, March 2. Troopers said the teen took the two radios back to his home where he and unknown other suspects made verbal threats over the radios to the ski resort.The two theft from vehicle incidents occurred in Monroe County.Michelle Coyle, of Rolling Meadow Road in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported a GPS unit was removed from her vehicle parked at her residence. A window was broken to gain entry to the vehicle.Armando Garcia, of Vista Circle, in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported a GPS unit was removed from him vehicle parked at her home. A window was broken to gain entry.Both thefts occurred overnight of Feb. 27-28, troopers added.
