Tamaqua police charged Todd Perla, 61, of Tamaqua, with defiant trespass after he was again found inside a condemned property where he had lived.

According to police, officers were contacted by the borough code enforcement office at 8:52 a.m. Oct. 22 to check on a report of trespassing at a home on the 100 block of Lafayette Street. The property had been condemned and posted against trespassing following an 8 p.m. Oct. 19 attic fire. Police said Perla was notified in person of the condemnation.

At 10:10 p.m. Oct. 20, Perla was found inside the building with a woman and was warned that if he was found inside again that he would be charged.

On Oct. 22, Perla was found inside the garage of the property and escorted outside. The building was secured and Perla was charged.
