Since first elected to the Pennsylvania House in 2010, Doyle Heffley has dutifully served the people of Carbon County in a manner not seen since the 1970s. One of his first goals was to reduce or eliminate property taxes. He has introduced or co-sponsored no less than 12 bills designed to do so, only to have them squashed by the Democrat-controlled House or Democrat governor.
In the last four years, the governor has failed to pass a budget on time, with some being seven months late. Doyle and other legislators presented a fair and affordable budget, only to have it fail in committee to the Democrat majority.
There presently is a group of voters concerned about data center construction. At the April 16, 2026, Carbon County Republican Committee meeting, when asked his position, Doyle responded “I neither favor nor disapprove. There is no one-size-fits-all. The boroughs and townships should decide.” If you HEARD something different, you should call Doyle.
Presently, Doyle is the Chairman of the House Human Services Committee. They oversee behavioral and mental health, intellectual and developmental programs including autism, drug and alcohol treatment programs, and services related to safety net healthcare for vulnerable citizens. A junior representative would need to have many years of experience to serve in this position.
I challenge anyone to tell me about someone who went to Doyle with a problem whom he didn’t attempt to help. If there was a “magic pill” to cure all the problems in the 122nd District, I am sure he would have found it. Please join me in re-electing Representative Doyle Heffley, the best candidate for the job!
