October 16, 1991 — Northern Lehigh’s Bob Chandler and Lisa Dorshimer both capture first place at the Centennial League cross country championships. Chandler completed the 3.1-mile course at Allentown College in a time of 16:55, which was 31 seconds faster than runner-up Tony Gaiotti of Notre Dame. Dorshimer, meanwhile, crossed the finish line in 20:06, a whopping minute and 45 seconds quicker than second-place runner Kristina White of Northwestern. Pleasant Valley’s Mark Serfass takes third in the boys competition, with Northwestern’s Chet Schmoyer earning fourth. PV’s Jody Beers placed fourth in the girls race.
