CL meet at Wilson

Logan Gillespie recorded a second-place finish in helping Jim Thorpe record four wins in a seven-team meet at Wilson.

Gillespie crossed the finish line in 17:18 behind Wilson’s Jillian Bonham, who won the race in 17:01. Thorpe’s Stacy Bos was sixth in 19:02.

Other local top finishers were Northern Lehigh’s Emily Gad, 12th, 19:48 and Lehighton’s Grace Cathers, 14th.

Northern Lehigh and Lehighton each picked up two wins, while Palmerton had one.

In the boys’ race, Lehighton’s Ezra Berrios was third in a time of 16:06, with teammate Joshua Cathers right behind in fourth in 16:11. Other local top finishers were Jim Thorpe’s Jakob Scheckler, seventh, 16:41, and Northern Lehigh’s Adrian Hassold, 12th, 17:16.
