Lehighton graduate Bayto Cokrlija made his collegiate tennis debut for Kutztown University during the Golden Bears’ 6-1 victory over Franciscan University of Steubenville on Saturday.

Cokrlija competed at No. 6 singles and won the opening set against Alexander Burns before falling in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

The two-time Times News/Lehigh Valley Health Network Boys Tennis Player of the Year, Cokrlija starred at No. 1 singles for Lehighton and helped the Indians reach the District 11 team tournament during his high school career.

Cokrlija is in his second season with Kutztown after not appearing in a match as a freshman in 2025-26.
