Pleasant Valley’s girls tennis team used a balanced effort to highlight Friday’s local scholastic sports action.

GIRLS TENNIS

Pleasant Vy.-East Stroudsburg South

Pleasant Valley won six of seven matches, including a sweep of the doubles competition, to defeat East Stroudsburg South 6-1 in an East Penn Conference match.

Avery Cogan and Amanda Davis earned singles victories for the Bears.

Pleasant Valley also received doubles wins from Alayna Boland and Lauren Bush, Marissa Hauck and Averie Acevedo, Emma Kish and Brooke Serfass, and Khloe Dooner and Eloise Dooner.V.

The Slaters’ Raelyn Keggan led her team with a hat trick, while teammates Madison Mera and Aubrie Labar added two goals each in the win. Mera also assisted on three of her team’s goals.
