Kamryn N. Brennan, 30, of Pottsville, was cited for following too closely after a two-vehicle crash at 12:25 p.m. Sept. 1 on the Gordon Nagle Trail, North Manheim Township, state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said.

Brennan was driving a 2022 Jeep Compass south and attempting to hand a passenger in the back seat a bowl of food when the Compass struck the back of a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze operated by Breeanna L. Hunsinger, 23, of Hazleton, who had yielded to traffic, police said.

Hunsinger was transported by personnel from the Schuylkill EMS corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-East, Pottsville, to be treated for suspected minor injuries, according to police.

Brennan was uninjured, as were an 8-year-old girl from Pottsville who was a passenger with her, and Alicia C. Hunsinger, 31, of Tamaqua, who was a passenger in the Cruze, police said.
