State police at the Pocono barracks reported the following accidents that happened on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike:

* Irina Zolota, 42, of Drums, sustained suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7:43 a.m. Sept. 13 at mile marker 83.4 in Penn Forest Township.

Police said she was transported by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township.

They said she was driving a 2016 Honda CRV southbound when it traveled over standing water, hydroplaned and struck a jersey barrier on the left side of the road.

The car sustained disabling damages.

Police said Zolota was issued a written warning for failure to drive at a safe speed.

* Joclyn C. Day-Francia, 27, of Jim Thorpe, was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed following a one-vehicle crash at 9:48 a.m. Sept. 20 at mile marker 62.6 in North Whitehall Township. She was uninjured in the incident.

Police said she was driving a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek southbound when it traveled over standing water and went out of control, striking a concrete barrier. The car then spun clockwise, traveled across both lanes, left the roadway on the left side and struck a guardrail.

It sustained disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene.

* Tucker B. McDaniel, 23, of Clarks Summit, was transported to the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, after a one-vehicle crash at 6:55 a.m. Sept. 20 at mile marker 96.5 in Kidder Township.

He was taken there for observation by personnel from the Lehighton Ambulance Association.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Subaru Outback northbound during a heavy rainstorm when the car crossed the right lane and struck an embankment, overturning multiple times and coming to rest on its driver’s side along the east berm.

The car sustained disabling damages and had to be towed from the scene.

Police said McDaniel was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.

* Vincent J. Masters Jr., 47, of Hawley, was uninjured when a pickup truck he was driving struck a bear at mile marker 93.5 in Kidder Township at 6:32 a.m. Sept. 9.

Police said he was southbound in a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 when the bear entered his path and was struck and killed.

Police said the truck sustained moderate front-end damages.
