Amber Kellam, 45, of Allentown, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash at 6 p.m. Aug. 23 at 6210 Route 873, Washington Township, state police at the Bethlehem barracks said.

Police said she was driving a 2014 Buick Lacrosse southbound and was traveling around a curve when she lost control of the car and struck a utility pole off the roadway. Both traffic lanes were closed due to the damaged pole and hanging wires.

Kellam refused a medical services transport from the scene, police said, but she was transported by police to the Lehigh County Central Booking center.

The car was towed from the scene.
