Towamensing Township Supervisors conducted the following business this month:

• Towamensing Township will be advertising for bids for snow plowing and the fuel and material bids, which is due by 3 p.m. on Oct. 1.

• A hearing will be held at 6:30 on Oct. 1 before the next supervisors meeting for an intermunicipal liquor license transfer. The current liquor license is in Lehigh Township.

• During public comment, James Gillen expressed concern about a property at the corner of Hazelwood Road and Stagecoach Road.

• Heather Pasquariello from Community Connections Social Club informed everyone about a new nonprofit seeking partners for use of local places to establish and connect for social events.

• Weissport Fire Chief Anthony Vaillant provided the township with a contract that the Weissport police department can be used instead of the State Police.

•The township will hold trick-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31.
